About The Facility
Daybreak Farm is a 15 stall training barn specializing primarily in show hunters. We service a long standing loyal adult amateur clientele. Our horses vary from young horses in development to made amateur horses. We also offer professional rehabilitation board and do a small number of select sales horses. We attend several horse shows a month - including USEF sanctioned as well as locally recognized horse shows. We do a limited amount of travel throughout the year including Tryon, Atlanta and Ocala.
Job Description
I am seeking a stable manager and assistant rider.
Job Requirements
Seeking an energetic, hard working individual who loves to be around and ride horses all day long! Responsibilities include keeping the stable organized, scheduling vet & farrier appointments, medicating horses, tacking, grooming and bathing horses, riding daily alongside head trainer, cleaning tack, packing horse trailer for horse shows, lunging and preparing horses for showing, grooming arena with tractor, driving horse trailer & or utility trailer. Applicant must enjoy being tidy, be naturally attentive to detail and desire to give horses top notch care and attention! Experience is important, but the desire to do a good job and learn is more important. This is a long term position in an established business. We work 5-6 days per week. We have busy and slow times - this is a salaried position, not an hourly position. This is not a high pressure point chasing barn, but we do take showing seriously and the job can be fast paced at times. We do take time off and paid vacation is allotted.
