About The Facility
State of the art equine medical facility boasts 30 acres of tranquil farmland in the heart of Ocala's horse country. Patients vary from beloved back yard ponies to million dollar athletes and cover all breeds, sizes and abilities. There are two barns, multiple medical modalities available, and state of the art medical diagnostics and treatment, as well as conditioning for athlete's or those coming back form injury or rest are available for equine patients on site. Positive communication and disposition required.
Job Description
Office hours are M-F 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 12pm. This position requires a 40 hour work week and will require some weekend hours. Answer phones and email correspondence with clients, handle communication between veterinarians, technicians and clients, aid veterinarians with charging in the office and from the road, contacting clients for billing and payments, checking clients in and out, sending and receiving lab results via email and confirming receipt, as well as other basic office duties such as keeping the work area clean and tidy.
Job Requirements
Computer skills required in order to assist the veterinarian create consultations and treatment plans. Basic knowledge of equine breeds and disciplines. Basic knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medication types and supplements. Basic math skills. Ability to work overtime during seasonal peaks. Bi-lingual a plus but not required!
