About The Facility
Private Hanoverian and Oldenburg breeding farm with top quality stock looking for a well rounded dressage trainer to start and bring young/unseasoned horses through the levels. The facility is 75 acres, houses multiple pastures, 20 stall barn, 70'x200' indoor arena with new lighting and a small area at the end (also indoors) to start or long line young horses in closed area. Special consideration to trainers with experience with starting older warmbloods (ages 4-10 years) that are handled regularly and have show experience in hand and under saddle as a young horse.
Job Description
Duties will include managing all horses training schedules with owner, ensuring consistent exercise and variety of training exposure for all horses in program, starting unbroke horses with the aid of a barn hand or working student, show prep, hauling to and from shows, care of horses during shows, marketing farm and breeding stock for exposure and sales, along with general show horse and farm overseeing along side the owner who is directly involved with all aspects of the farm. Will be required to ride and handle mares, geldings and stallions.

Bring your own qualified working student possible for quality candidate. Compensation for student to be discussed based on abilities and responsibilities agreed upon by employer.

This position will likely not require giving lessons unless to working student or basic barn chores regularly, but all other trainer duties apply.

Job Requirements
Respectful, professional demeanor with prospective buyers and others in the industry a must. Positive, honest and frequent communication with the owner of the farm regarding all aspects of the horses care and progression required. Focus on the farms horses is imperative, trainer will not be permitted to take on outside client horses as the farms current load of horses in training will be 9-10 minimum at any given time. Employer will require videos of riding/training ability with both lower level and upper level horse to evaluate skills. Candidate will be required to do on site tour/interview/riding for 2-3 days prior to offer. Travel expenses paid by employer, will be able to stay in furnished on site home while at the facility.
Ability to ride, bring along and show high end, well bred warmbloods at all the best rated shows in the country, expenses during shows paid by employer. Higher range 5 figure salary.
Description of Housing Provided
Home on property is available for employee only, no additional occupants allowed. Housing allowance available for candidate with family to live off site.
