Job Description
Windfall Farms is a hunter barn looking for an instructor to take over our flourishing lesson program. If you love to teach and work with young riders, this could be the right fit for you! We have an opening for a trainer/instructor who has great energy and a love of horses and their people. We are looking for someone experienced in the hunter/jumper discipline as both a rider and an instructor. We celebrate beginner to advanced riders and everything in between! We focus on instilling the basic foundation of skills for fun & enjoyable riding. Our quality lesson horses are able to accommodate all levels & sizes of riders ages 4 to adult. This is an awesome opportunity to walk into an established riding program yet still allows for growth and creativity. Candidate must have a passion and aptitude for imparting knowledge, and enjoy working with both adults and children. This position offers the opportunity to create new programs, run camps, schooling shows, take students to local shows, coach our IEA team. Windfall Farms is owned by a hands-on young couple who is committed to offering excellent services in our rural location. With our already thriving lesson program, the instructor would work Monday thru Friday unless a horse show or event is taking place. This is a rare opportunity in the horse business to work during the week and enjoy weekends off. The farm is located on 32 acres with a 17 stall barn and an attached indoor and a heated wash stall. Lessons take place year round. Other responsibilities include turning out horses, feeding, morning chores, and schooling horses. This is a full-time position, We are looking to hire an individual who is looking for a long-term position.
