About The Facility
Camp Greystone is a Christian Camp for girls located in the mountains of North Carolina that offers a variety of activities including horseback riding. It is home to approximately 1800 campers every summer with camp sessions 1, 3, 5, and 2 weeks in length. The Riding Program at Camp Greystone focuses on the Hunter/Jumper discipline and is a very big part of camp. We also offer a complete Western Trail Riding program. Our facilities include a 42 stall Main Barn, 10 stall Western Trail Ride Barn, an Overnight Barn on the Green River, spacious turnout, 3 riding rings, beautiful trails, and an outside course. We have nearly 50 horses suited to all levels of instruction.
Job Description
Presently, we are seeking individuals who love children and horses to teach and assist with riding lessons, lead and supervise trail riding, and care for our horses. This is a full time, twelve week, paid employment opportunity with meals and housing provided. Applicants must be able to commit to the entire camp season, from May 19th through August 9th.

This opportunity with the Camp Greystone Riding Program will allow individuals to receive valuable experience with children and horses. They will develop their skills in teaching, equine health, barn management, and youth development. Staff will assist and teach group lessons in the hunt seat discipline, barn management lessons, and horsemanship lessons. Some staff will supervise and assist with the Western Trail Riding program. Beyond teaching, staff will also assist with day to day care of the horses, including grooming, tacking, feeding, and basic first aid.
The Riding program at Camp Greystone requires hard work, energy, and stamina with a willingness to be flexible and open to the camp's program. It is a positive work environment that is extremely rewarding.
Job Requirements
Applicants must be a year out of High School and over age of eighteen.
Applicants must be able to commit to the entire 12 week camp season May 19 - August 9.
