250 acre stunning horse farm with adult and children lesson program, horse training and horse shows. 20-25 horses, own and boarders. Home made natural feed, organic hay and rotational grazing. Job Description
Ground work & daily operational needs - Facility management/chores, handling and training horses, restarting OTTBs, manage rotational grazing, assist with routine medical care/farrier/dental & therapy, feed/nutrition research, teach English lesson programs/camps/shows/trail rides and more. Will work as a team with barn manager and interns. Hunt seat, eventing, dressage preferred.
Job Requirements
This barn is fast paced and filled with opportunities for the right person. Proactive, quick thinking fast learner who is energetic, positive and a great team player important. Must be able to tackle several aspects of owning and operating an equestrian center with a reliable and professional attitude. Calm personality important around the riders, some as young as 4yrs old. Attention to detail has to be a priority, completing daily check lists so that nothing is missed. Must take directions well, have excellent people skills, a caring personality and soft hands with the horses. 5- 5.5 day flexible shifts. Must have phone with text/email capability & drivers license. Able to work in all weather conditions and lift 50lbs bags.
