About The Facility
The Camp Vega Equestrian Center has a 20 horse stable and 2 riding rings where beginner to advanced riders between the ages of 8-15 learn and practice for 7 weeks during the summer.
Job Description
The equestrian director oversees the safety and content of the entire program, which aims to teach girls between the ages of 8-15 English Hunt Seat. Most campers are beginners but some ride often throughout the year. General responsibilities include horse care, staff training, scheduling, ordering feed/supplies, supervision, and instructing. The equestrian staff team includes 8 instructors, and a barn manager and 2 stable hands.
Approx 9 weeks (early June - early August), $8000 - $20000+, depending on experience and number of horses brought into the program. Additional benefits include private cabin, all meals, horse boarding (if applicable), and more.
