Becker Stables is a nationally-recognized Arabian show horse training and breeding facility in northern California. The farm is 200 acres with 100 stalls. We keep over 150 total and 75 training horses at all times, focusing mainly on western, hunter and English pleasure. We exhibit at about 12 shows per year throughout the US and Canada, including US, Youth and Canadian Nationals. We have 15-20 foals per year, stand several breeding stallions and ship semen across North America.
Assistant trainers ride, do ground-work and show horses in accordance with their abilities. Additional duties may include packing and driving to horse shows, lunging, bitting, bridling, tacking, caring for tack and equipment, wrapping legs, blanketing, assisting with breeding, grooming, clipping, turning out mares & foals, or any other task that contributes to the operation of the farm.
Drivers license. Proficiency in handling and training horses. Applicants with less training experience may apply for our Training Barn Assistant position, with opportunity to advance to assistant trainer as their skills increase. All applicants should be clean, hard-working team players.
