About The Facility
Riverend is a privately owned property. We currently have several horses and are looking to bring a few more onboard. The facility is used by the family for vacations, boating, trail riding, etc.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Equine Manager to join our team at Riverend. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the care, training, and well-being of our equine residents. As an Equine Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of health and performance for our horses. This is a live-in position and salary is negotiable.

Job Requirements
Responsibilities:

Stable Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the stable.
- Manage the scheduling of farrier and veterinary services.

Training and Exercise:
- Develop and implement training programs for horses, ensuring they are physically and mentally stimulated.
- Coordinate exercise routines and monitor the fitness levels of each horse.

Healthcare:
- Monitor the health of all horses and coordinate veterinary care as needed.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as prescribed.

Staff Leadership:
- Lead, train and motivate the equine care staff in a respectful and caring manner.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure a positive and collaborative work environment.

Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of each horse's health, training progress, and any medical treatments.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Equine Manager or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of horse health, nutrition, and training techniques.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in equine management.

REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 5 years professional experience with horses, in a management position
• Self-starter, and solid leadership skills
• Strong attention to detail to notice any small changes or concerns with any of the horses on-site.
• Be comfortable administering IV/IM injections when needed • General knowledge of facility management and the ability to operate farm equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a respectful and friendly manner and remain calm in stressful situations.
