About The Facility
One of Ocala's premier veterinary hospitals is looking for a new Receptionist! This facility caters specifically to sporthorses and the thoroughbred industry, focusing primarily on sports medicine, orthopedic procedures, reproductive medicine, and high level diagnostics.
Looking for two attentive, passionate individuals to round off the clinic support staff at this lovely equine hospital in Ocala! This facility caters primarily to sports medicine and orthopedic procedures, with the vast majority of their equine clientele being young/active thoroughbred race horses in training. Anyone interested in joining this team MUST have prior experience working with thoroughbreds and be comfortable working around exceptionally fit young horses who are rehabbing. Responsibilities will include stall cleaning, assisting techs and vets with medications/handling on occasion, and jogging horses for lameness exams as needed. MUST know how to properly jog a fit horse safely and in a way that will allow vets to evaluate soundness.
The two available shifts are:
7:00am until 3:30pm
11:00am until 7:00pm
- Stall Cleaning
- Holding for medications and exams
- Jogging for lameness exams
- Handling young, fit horses
- Maintaining overall cleanliness of barns
- Alerting senior staff if any changes or emergencies are noticed with horses on-site
- Assisting in loading/unloading horses on arrival and departure
