About The Facility
This semi-private, beautiful facility just West of Minneapolis, MN area is home to a small handful of competition horses and a few retirees. With a total of 11 horses on site accompanied by 2 mini donkeys and a "rather exceptional" mule, this facility is a peaceful and well-staffed place to call home. There are currently only two boarders, making the client interaction a very small portion of this position. This farm is situated on 80 acres and boasts an oversized indoor and outdoor arena, private, spacious grass turnouts with shelters in each field, dry lots for winter turnout, a fully enclosed center aisle barn, and ample space for hacking and enjoying the scenery.
Job Description
This beautiful facility is looking for a new Barn Manager to lead the daily operations of the farm. This person ideally should have some management experience, and an understanding of the dressage discipline. This person will be responsible for managing the other staff, which consists of 3 barn workers and a property manager, as well as handling scheduling communications with the vet, farrier, and other vendors. This person should be comfortable overseeing all aspects of care, and have a strong attention to detail to notice any small changes or concerns with any of the horses on-site. This person should be comfortable administering IV/IM injections when needed, and should be comfortable pulling a gooseneck horse trailer in case of emergency. Ultimately, ensuring the upkeep of the full facility and the proper care of the horses will fall on the shoulders of this individual, so someone who will treat the program and its horses as their own will be looked on with extreme favor.

This is a 6 day per week position with hours being roughly 7:15am-4:30pm
