This successful, private, upper level show jumping facility is truly one of a kind. Located 40 minutes North of Houston, this facility is home to 25 horses currently, with a small string of upper level prospects gearing up to hit the AA circuits again in 2023. The Head Trainer in this role has already achieved major success on the top circuits, but is coming off a short hiatus in which she focused more on her breeding program in Europe. She feels it is now time to get back into the show ring, and is looking for a knowledgeable and trustworthy individual to be the home farm manager! There are no clients involved in this program, simply the owner, assistant trainer, and other members of the care team on-site. The owners of this facility are heavily involved in giving back to the Equestrian community, and are sponsors of numerous shows and young-horse classes around the A circuits. They run many internship programs for up-and-comers who could be interested in the industry, and have recently added an Assistant Trainer from the UK to their team as well! This group is well run, highly organized, and gearing up to be taking on the international show circuits in 2025. With a lovely group of support staff already in place, and an excited and honest employer who always prioritizes her equine partners, this group is one that will easily feel like home!
Looking for a knowledgeable, reliable all-around hand to facilitate the care of the retirees and youngstock of this top level H/J Program. This person should be a team player, and a self-starter who is able to adapt to this program's long-established routine. This person should be at least loosely familiar with caring for horses in the H/J industry, and a working knowledge of FEI rules and regulations would be viewed very favorably! This person may be asked to assist with the care of the competition horses in the event that the main barn is short staffed, but largely will be responsible for the secondary barn where the other members of the herd are kept.
A working knowledge of farm equipment would be exceptional, as the ability to perform light maintenance/repairs on the tractor, mower, horse trailer, etc would be a huge plus! Overall, this facility operates as a full team - while each member may have their specific strengths and weaknesses, all members are expected to always put the horses first in every aspect of their job. Adaptability due to weather and extraneous circumstances is a must!

- Grooming
- Bandaging
- Feeding

- Leadership qualities in case of emergency
- Ability to work closely with a team of varied background and skill levels
- Ability to follow pre-determined care protocols
- Tremendous attention to detail and organization skills a must
- A genuine enthusiasm and love of horses!
- Upholding the USEF and FEI standards for best practices at all times with all horses on site. There are actively competing FEI horses in close proximity with the retirees and young horses, so careful attention must be paid to ensure there is no risk of cross contamination of any medications or substances which are not FEI legal
*bonus if:
* Able to service/repair mower, tractor, trailer, etc
* Able to perform facility maintenance tasks (fencing, mowing, etc)
*Bilingual (Spanish)
- Stipend for health insurance coverage, possibility for company benefits with appropriate staff
- 7 days of PTO provided within the first year, with increase to 14 days in the following year.

This is not a riding position, nor does it include the ability to stable a personal horse on-site. If a candidate has a personal horse, they must be willing to board that horse off-site and in a full care arrangement
Private housing is available in a spacious 800sqft apartment on-site. Well mannered pets may be welcome (within reason)
Utilities and wifi included!
