This facility is located in a scenic valley near San Gregorio and boasts just about every luxury you could want in a facility. From their state-of-the-art barn to their premium arenas, you would be hard-pressed to find a comparable facility to work out of. They have a breeding facility, a young horse program and a sales program. This well-staffed farm is typically home to 50-100 horses ranging from babies to seasoned Grand Prix horses. This incredible facility is looking for an experienced individual who is capable of all aspects of facility management, from overseeing horse care to creating horse-specific training programs. Their primary role will be overseeing horse care, and coordinating/managing the programs and staff. This person will be responsible for creating fitness/training programs for all horses from green-broke to Grand Prix horses and will work alongside the Ranch Manager and fellow trainers/riders. This candidate needs to be experienced in the tack and on the ground and should be able to ride and teach lessons when needed. They will be communicating directly with the show riders regarding horse’s performances and will be responsible for posting results and updates on social media as well as assisting with marketing, sales, and advertising on social media. This candidate will oversee entering data into the facilities database and organizing important paperwork. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of horse care, including vet/farrier, therapies, treating injuries, and managing nutritional needs. They will be keeping all records pertaining to horse care i.e., vaccines, deworming, farrier, dental etc... • 5+ years of experience and expertise in working with performance and young horses.
• 5+ years of Management Experience.
• Experience competing on the A circuit and FEI (FEI not required but ideal)
• MUST be able to live-on site.
• Basic first aid knowledge, wrap legs, give meds, shots IM/IV.
• Experience in horse show schedules, processes, and organizations.
• Attention to detail and ability to recognize abnormalities.
• Strong communication skills, commitment to teamwork and ability to comply with organizational policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Work effectively with minimal supervision, self-motivated and self-starter.
• Flexibility in work schedule.
- 5 days/week Monday-Friday typical hours are 7-4
