About The Facility
This peaceful and private Equine Rescue farm in SW Ocala is currently home to just over 30 horses. The horses on this facility live out full-time currently, and enjoy a very low-key lifestyle. As the owner of this facility is getting older, the farm will be looking to downsize over the coming months. There is currently one full time staff member who has been with this farm for the last 5 years, and they are ideally looking to bring on 1-2 more full time staff members in support of their current horse-count.
Job Description
Looking for 1-2 skilled individuals to assist in the care/maintenance of a 30 horse rescue sanctuary in SW Ocala. These individuals should be comfortable with the basic handling of horses, and be willing to partake in the overall facility maintenance. Applicants should have at least 1-2 years of experience working on a horse farm, and be comfortable handling feed, turnout, stall cleaning, and holding for the vet/farrier as needed. While the horses live out full time, they do come into the barn on vet and farrier days, and stalls will need to be cleaned on those days. Applicants should be comfortable operating basic farm equipment including a zero turn mower, weed eater, saw, and possibly the tractor, as well as be willing to put up fence boards, fix automatic waterers, and perform other standard farm maintenance tasks.
