About The Facility
Located in beautiful Northern Virginia, this state of the art facility is seeking a Director of Equestrian Services! The boarding facility boasts two barns, equipped with bathrooms, temperature-controlled tack rooms and a lounge. They have an outdoor and an indoor arena, both with premium footing. They have a top-of-the-line jump course, hacking areas for conditioning, and a covered walker! Additionally, they have a fitness center that has a Water treadmill, Infrared Solarium and a 3D Oscillating Plate. This facility is home to approximately 30 horses and several in-house rehab/fitness horses.
Job Description
𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:
This candidate would oversee daily care (feeding, blanketing, turn-out schedules, health care, horse checks) and prepare daily grain, supplements, and medications. They would manage the purchase of horse feed, hay, shavings, supplies, and coordinate manure bin removal. They would schedule and assist with veterinary/farrier visits. This individual will manage lesson and arena scheduler, including in-house and haul-in requests for arena use. Said candidate will coordinate closely with the fitness center and occasionally run 2-3 horses through fitness center sessions.

𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:
This facility is needing an individual capable of coordinating clinics and shows. The candidate will be responsible for everything pertaining to these events, i.e., Reaching out to clinicians, sorting logistics, booking accommodation, sourcing judges, etc... This person will have support staff but will ultimately be in charge of coordinating and seeing that things run well. There will be a bonus structure for the candidate with success of this aspect of the bussiness. This candidate should uphold the highest standards of customer service, client communications, and organization. This proactive individual will communicate with clients for pertinent barn-related activities such as changes in daily routine due to weather or other circumstances, and general updates. They should be able to respond to emails, calls, and texts from boarders, fitness center clients, and potential new clients in a timely manner. They will manage monthly invoicing/collection of boarding fees and manage new boarding/fitness contracts. This individual will be communicating directly with the facility owners and will be expected to participate in meetings regarding facility management. They are seeking someone who possesses strong people skills and will be able to help with the ongoing development of this facility. This position is 5 days per week 8am-4pm with Friday and Saturday off.

Benefits
The salary for this position is $25-$28 per hour. Available benefits include medical/dental insurance, IRA, 12 days PTO, overtime for extra hours and holidays, and continuing education opportunities. Potential for bonus structure. Salary and benefits are negotiable and dependent on experience. The candidate may bring a personal horse for at-cost boarding.
