Come spend the summer in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. Camp Treetops is an overnight camp for children ages 8-14 located just outside Lake Placid, New York. With a freshwater lake, miles of woodland trails, and an organic farm, we offer a spectacular setting, simple, healthy living, and the opportunity for our staff to work collaboratively in a supportive community. We have a large barn with roughly 15 box stalls. We generally maintain a herd of about 15 horses. We have many miles of trails for trail rides as well as two outdoor riding rings.
Riding Staff must attend a riding clinic (June 17-June 19, 2023) prior to camper arrival. Riding Staff will be required to do morning and evening barn chores at least 4 of the 8 weeks of camp and give approximately 2 hours of lessons 5-6 days a week. During the other hours of the day, riding staff will be expected to offer other activities with children ranging from crafts, sports and games, nature activities, farm and garden, cooking, and more.
