Pomponio Ranch South is a beautifully manicured and professional farm in San Diego County, which currently consists of top-notch performance horses and highly skilled experienced grooms and is home to one of the Nation’s top riders, Karl Cook. We need someone who can stay flexible and committed to teamwork, with the priority being keeping the horses looking and feeling their best!

Job Description
• Provide feed and water to the horses according to a specific schedule
• Tack horses up for riders
• Setup and breakdown at shows
• Maintain a clean working environment
• Perform Horse Therapy responsibilities as instructed by managers and prescribed by the Vet (e.g., massaging horses, stretching some horses, using therapeutic machines)
• General Groom responsibilities (e.g., general grooming, hand walking and lunge the horses, overseeing horses in the equine spa, placing/removing studs, icing and or wrapping legs of horses)
• Blanket horses (night checks) as necessary
• Act as backup contact for horse care and emergencies
Job Requirements
• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience is required.
o Show experience: FEI level/A Circuit Horse Shows
• Experience and knowledge of caring for equines
• Travel required for at least 39 weeks during the year, including potential for international travel
• Strong communication skills
• Work effectively with minimal supervision; self-starter and self-motivated
• Strong commitment to teamwork
• Clear background check and proof of authorization to work in the U.S
