About The Facility
This successful, private, upper level show jumping facility is truly one of a kind. Located in the Houston area of Texas, this facility is home to 25 horses currently, with a small string of upper level prospects gearing up to hit the big circuit in 2023. The Head Trainer in this role has already achieved major success on the top circuits, but is coming off a short hiatus in which she focused more on her breeding program in Europe. She feels it is now time to get back into the show ring, and is looking for a knowledgeable and trustworthy individual to be the home farm manager! There are no clients involved in this program, simply the owner, assistant trainer, and other members of the care team on-site. The owners of this facility are heavily involved in giving back to the Equestrian community, and are sponsors of numerous shows and young-horse classes around the A circuits. They run many internship programs for up-and-comers who could be interested in the industry, and have recently added an Assistant Trainer from the UK to their team as well! This group is well run, highly organized, and gearing up to be taking on the international show circuits in 2025. With a lovely group of support staff already in place, and an excited and honest employer who always prioritizes her equine partners, this group is one that will easily feel like home!
Job Description
This exceptional group in Texas is looking for an experienced professional in the H/J industry who is passionate about their work and looking for a team to enjoy for the long run! With several top horses, and a new Assistant Trainer arriving from the UK in January, this group is setting their sights on some exciting goals for 2023 and beyond! With an anticipated increase in time on the road, the person filling this role will be essential in ensuring the horses at home are happy and healthy, and that the standard of care continues. This person will be working along side a well established team of local grooms, but should be comfortable and confident in a leadership role when the owner is away. This person should be experienced, self sufficient, and willing to adapt to a new program's standard of care. This is a collaborative team environment, in which all members are to follow the USEF and FEI standards of best practices in all aspects of care. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a top level trainer who never fails to remember that the horses are partners and who is truly in it for the love of the connection in sport!
