About Green Acres Ranch Inc.
Established in 1957 Green Acres Ranch Inc. (GAR) is Riverside County’s premier Equestrian facility offering lessons, camps, boarding, training, and an extensive array of shows throughout the year. We are a team of horse enthusiasts dedicated to the health and growth of the equestrian industry in our region. We are nestled on 50 acres in beautiful Temecula Wine Country and can comfortably accommodate up to 200 horses. We offer several riding arenas, a dressage court, working cow arenas, slide track, round pens, and turnouts. The ranch is owned and operated by the respected and seasoned horse woman Margaret Rich and her two children Roy Rich and Katherine Rich-Elzig. Between these three individuals, GAR offers exceptional leadership.
Job Description
Hiring for multiple positions – Assist the development of an established Riding and Horsemanship Program!

Position Summary
Green Acres Ranch Inc. is seeking experienced and passionate riding instructors to take our horse and rider development to the next level; someone who loves teaching students of all ages and has the ability to develop high quality equestrians that succeed in all areas of life. We offer English Riding lessons, Horsemanship Lessons, a Student Internship Program, Seasonal Horse Camps, Horse Shows, and Gymkhanas. Program has 40 school horses, an established clientele, and a growing waitlist!
Green Acres Ranch would like to expand its top-tier, all-season lesson program for beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders. We offer diverse opportunities for on-site affordable competitions, coupled with a world-class horsemanship and riding program that capitalizes on our ranch’s decades of experience showing and breeding National quality horses. We hold our students to the highest standard in order to develop future generations of quality equestrians.
Our program operates Monday – Saturday with the occasional Sunday for competitions and related events. Must be able to work weekday afternoons/evenings as the majority of our students are in school during the day. All potential candidates will have a 3-month probation period.

Position One: Head Riding Instructor & Logistics/Events Coordinator
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Directing the internship program; training and educating, organizing schedules and duties.
2. Managing Instructor’s schedules, performance, training, and duties.
3. Orchestrating Horse Shows and Gymkhanas for lesson students to compete in.
4. Overseeing seasonal horse camps for beginner riders.
5. Working with office administrators on schedules, communication with clients, and keeping records up to date.
6. Teaching English riding lessons to student’s whose abilities range from 1st time riders through students competing in the inter scholastic levels of Hunt Seat and Dressage.
7. Teaching horsemanship lessons on health care, ground handling, tack, confirmation, biomechanics of horse, etc.


Position Two: Senior Riding Instructor & Horse/Facility Manager
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing care of school horses on a day-to-day basis; assigning exercise regimens, doctoring horses, administering meds, monitoring feed, ect.
2. Developing our young horse’s training under saddle and tuning up our seasoned school horses.
3. Monitoring lesson facility and keeping equipment organized and in good condition.
4. Handling transactions for new or potential school horses and the sale or donation of existing school horses.

5. Teaching English riding lessons to student’s whose abilities range from 1st time riders through students competing in the inter scholastic levels of Hunt Seat and Dressage.
6. Teaching horsemanship lessons on health care, ground handling, tack, confirmation, biomechanics of horse, etc.
Job Requirements
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
• Collaborative, natural leader with exceptional interpersonal and horsemanship skills.

• CPR and First Aid Certified.

• Must have the patience and aptitude to work with children and beginner riders.

• Detail orientated and capable of handling stressful situations.

• Experience competing in hunt seat equitation and dressage.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience instructing English riding lessons.

• Tolerant of heat and outdoor working conditions.
