About The Facility
Established in 1982, this well respected therapeutic program is home to 20 therapy horses, and services all of the Palm Beach County area. They have a wonderful, consistent group of volunteers and instructors on the team. This program caters to those with special needs of all ages and backgrounds and their families. This is the ideal program for someone with a true passion for helping horses help people.
Job Description

This person should be confident in their care of senior horses and will be considered their eyes and ears. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and patient in helping the volunteer workforce manage the daily responsibilities of the farm. This person should be comfortable giving IV/IM injections, body clipping, recognizing signs of colic and performing general first aide on the horses. There are riding opportunities available when the horses need a tune-up or basic exercise. The program enlists a stall cleaning service most days of the week, but cleaning stalls along with the volunteers will be expected, as well as all other basic horse maintenance duties. Some assistance with the classes may be needed on occasion. The ideal candidate will be PATH certified and knowledgeable in their care standards.
