The new Operations Manager will channel their growth through their storied lens, and will create an environment that delivers unforgettable customer service and top-notch sales.
Job Description
Entering a period of rapid expansion, they are seeking a new Operations Manager for their Lexington area storefront and warehouse. This person will ideally be well versed in the horse world, though specific discipline knowledge is not required. The Operations Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of the operation, from retail support to warehouse and general management.
Job Requirements
Customer service & Retail:
o Maintaining an organized and pleasant shop
o Assist in the day-to-day client interactions (in-person, phone, email, etc.)
o Planning product placement and stocking procedures in the store
o Operate engraving machine
o Maintains excellence in providing clear, timely and polite information to clients regarding shipments, damages and re-orders, etc
o Ensure that all merchandise and product received at the store is processed in accordance with established programs and procedures and that the department area is organized and maintained.

Warehousing:
o Manage inventory and store stock
o Assisting in packing/unpacking travel trailer for shows
o Make local deliveries and pickup supplies as needed
o Perform and oversee daily shipping duties efficiently and effectively with close attention to detail to ensure that ordered are properly picked, packed, and shipped and arrive on time
o Processes incoming deliveries as instructed with strict adherence to proper counting, barcoding, shelving, and stocking procedures
o Quality Control of inbound products
o Participates in cycle counts; carefully operates electronic Inventory counters to record data in POS program for adjustments/transfers
o Regularly lift 50+ lbs.
o Able to climb warehouse and stockroom ladders

Management:
o Hire, train, coach & develop employees
o Communicate needs with warehouse and manufacturing teams
o Manage invoicing
o Maintain regular communication and teamwork with store owners
o Attend trade shows (roughly 7 per year)
o Work closely with Toronto based management team
o Follow and execute on marketing and sales budgets
o Assist head office team with forecasting, purchasing, analytics and trends
o Operates POS program to complete daily inventory paperwork
o Manage banking deposits and store petty cash & cash log
o Runs daily report at end of workday and pulls merchandise to re-stock Boutique

Required Experience & Skills:
• Software: Excel, Word, Outlook, Inventory software preferred
• Highly organized with attention to detail and strong ability to follow directions
• Prior shipping/receiving experience preferred
• Warehouse experience preferred
• ‪‪Equestrian industry experience- minimum 5 years
• Strong leader
• Excellent communication skills

• Proficient at multi-tasking
Benefits
The salary for this position is starting at $60,000 with some flexibility for the right individual. Benefits are provided, including: Employee discount, medical reimbursement, PTO, and holiday pay
