About The Facility
Premier equestrian center in Texas is looking for someone to act as their new Show Operations Manager. This facility is host to some of the most prestigious horse shows in the country, with 70,000 class entries each year. Breeds and disciplines showing at GSWEC include; American Saddlebreds, American Quarter Horses, Arabians, Miniature Horses, Paso Finos, Dressage, Hunters/Jumpers and Reining, in addition to numerous other events such as the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Horse Judging and the USHJA Emerging Athletes Program.
Job Description
The facility holds around 23 of their own shows per year, as well as 10-13 outside contracted shows. They are looking for someone who has an extensive knowledge of the H/J industry, and who has a working knowledge of how to run a show from A-Z. This person will be responsible for, managing riders, entries, stalls, ordering of ribbons and awards, scheduling and selecting judges, and more. This person will be in charge of all activities leading up to the show, prep of the show itself, managing the contract labor, overseeing jump crew, and carrying on face to face interactions with riders and vendors. This person will be the face of the facility. This person should also have a firm and fluent understanding of social media practices and how to generate a healthy following.

This person will work directly alongside the General Manager, who schedules the shows, and manages the operations of the Reining, Dressage, and other disciplines of shows. This person will be required to be on site for all shows hosted by the venue. This will require working on the weekends. The facility takes a break from July 4th - Late August/Early Sept, and from December 10-Jan 2nd.
