About The Facility
8.85-acre horse farm in Wellington, Florida which includes a 28-stall stable; an outdoor arena; a 6-horse euro-walker and round pen; 8 wash stalls; 2 tack rooms; 2 feed rooms; 2 each of laundry rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and storage rooms. An owner's residence is also onsite.
Job Description
Seeking a hands-on manager responsible for all aspects of equine care, supervising employees and overseeing the maintenance of an 8.85-acre horse farm in Wellington, Florida. Regularly interact with other equine professionals such as trainers, feed and forage suppliers, farriers, and equine veterinarians as well as other service providers. Oversees all phases of farm operations to include maintenance of the barn, stalls, and equine facilities, overseeing deliveries, feed schedules, arena maintenance, pastures and equipment ensuring that facilities and equipment are safe and well-functioning. Ability to care for the property with property repair experience.
Job Requirements
General Responsibilities:
• Provide clear and concise instructions for effective management of on-site staff
• Oversee staff scheduling and staff hiring
• Conduct inspections of buildings, common area and equipment for needed repairs,
renovations and upkeep
• Monitor maintenance activities and preventive maintenance programs
• Obtain repair quotes
• Plan and coordinate all installations and refurbishments
• Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
• Maintain adequate inventory of parts and order as necessary
• Coordinate landscaping care
• Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols
• Ensure feed supplies and other maintenance materials are stocked
• Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security, etc.
• Maintain overall facility cleanliness and preparedness for visitors and any special events
• Coordinate and assist with events when applicable
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
