Job Description
Old South Carriage Co. is hiring a full-time Operations Manager to assist the General Manager with leading the daytime and evening operations of a family owned carriage and walking tour company. As a Manager, you will assist the leadership team in the successful day to day operations of Old South Carriage Co. while gaining the business experience you’re looking for to grow in your career. Responsibilities:
Assist General Manager with supervising, training and developing team members. | Serve as a role model and lead the team
Executes tour (business) operations during scheduled shifts. Organizes the opening and closing duties as assigned. Follows Old South Carriage Co. operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling, safety, and security.
Operates front desk and cash registers and follow cash handling procedures, including but not limited to deposits and petty cash
Utilizes XOLA – booking/reservation software to drive sales and optimize guest experience
Maintain safe working environment while ensuring all team members are following guidelines
Ensure team members are providing great customer service.
Hitching and unhitching drafts horses with carriages
Driving horse and carriage in a variety of scenarios
Maintains a calm demeanor during peak volume times, setting a positive example for fellow team members
Maintain sales productivity, facility appearance and online merchandising
Manages quality opening, transition, and closing shifts (procedures) ensuring a consistent positive customer experience.
Manages emergency situations per procedure; follows proper accident procedures
Addresses and resolves customer concerns
Motivates team members to provide excellent customer service
Lead with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the values and mission of Old South Carriage Co.
Assist with new team member training and provide encouragement and coaching as needed.
Manages regular and punctual attendance
Create daily report reflecting day to day business, staff concerns, facility notes, and other pertinent information
Job Requirements
Equine and Leadership experience required. Knowing drafts and carriage horse operations is a plus.
