Char-O-Lot Ranch is a family owned facility that has been operating since 1972.
We breed a good number of mares, foal out, stand stallions, offer basic baby training etc. in addition to our full time show barn, sales and services
Full Time Breeding assistant manager. This includes recognition of health issues and proper feeding. Job includes handling mares and foals, turn-outs, assisting with palpations, ultrasounds and any medical issues that arise on a daily basis. Some experience with handling stallions is required. This is a live in position (housing available for one person- private cottage) and hours are 7:00-5:00 6 days per week during season- 5 1/2 days per week off season.
Experience handling mares, foals and stallions. Experience giving oral medications IV & IM injections. 75% of this position is handling horses and 25% is record keeping. Good people skills are required, good work ethic and the ability to train others as needed and work well with other employees and clients. Working interview is required. Health insurance required- partial health care stipend reimbursed to employee after 90 days. Total compensation package value averages $35-$38k per year with salary and housing provided.
Small cottage on premises, includes all utilities, WiFi and Direct TV service. Pet friendly for the right animal to be approved by owner.
