We are Charleston’s premier touring company and have access to 3 barns in Charleston South Carolina, a herd of 30+ draft horses, 20 carriages, and a 65 acre farm on Johns Island.
Old South Carriage Company is looking for a talented individual to assist in training carriage horses that are new to urban environments or needing additional exposure to specific situations. This position needs someone with both self confidence in equine handling and the ability to create and follow through on a regimented training plan. The draft horses we use are all single hitch, middle aged, previously trained to drive but mainly in a farm like setting. This position will work as part of a team but individuals also need the ability to work solo with the horses in some circumstances. The position could be a 3 month contract or a full time all year position.
-Previous draft horse driving experience

-Valid drivers license and able to drive truck and trailer
