Pal-O-Mine Equestrian is an established not for profit whose mission is to provide growth, learning and healing for individuals (both children and adults) with disabilities (physical, cognitive and emotional) and survivors of trauma.
At this time we are looking to add an experienced Adaptive Riding Instructor to our list of qualified staff.
The right person will have experience as an adaptive riding instructor with a minimum of 5 years horsemanship experience. Having classroom experience, especially with individuals with disabilities is a plus. At Pal-O-Mine, our Adaptive Riding Instructors are responsible to develop specific lesson plans for their students including goals, plans to reach goals, and on-going assessment of goals. Progress notes are required and requested at least 2 times per year. In addition the right person will be able to: follow directions and understand safety issues when working with horses; be a positive role model in accordance with Pal-O-MIne's Code of Conduct and mission; have the ability to problem solve taking into consideration all factors; treat all individuals encountered with dignity, respect, professionalism, and empathy.
