Job Description
Do you take pride in being a pro, keeping dressage horses cared for, healthy and looking their best?

Private Dressage barn is hiring reliable groom/all-around small barn assistant to keep our 4-5 Spanish horses cared for, healthy and beautiful.

Requires meticulous attention to detail around the barn and to the horses health and soundness.

The job is all-around horse care (feeding, grooming, stall cleaning, watering, turn out, wrapping, clipping, bathing, braiding, tacking up).

Plus hand walking, cooling out and lunging, holding for farrier, assisting vet as needed, and giving horse first-aid/meds.

You’ll keep the barn running smoothly, clean tack, pick up supplies, and grade arena daily with tractor.

Includes some hauling for vet and shows. Must be confident loading/unloading and experience driving truck and trailer.

Any type of English riding barn experience a plus. Natural horsemanship experience a big plus.

You must have a good head on your shoulders, have good judgement, an excellent work ethic, be trustworthy, fit and absolutely reliable.

Must have experience driving a tractor.

The environment is quiet, positive, peaceful and beautiful.

Hours are Mon-Fri, from 6am to Noon lunch feeding, leaving your afternoons and weekends free to have a life and do what you want.

My horse assistant is a very important part of caring for my horses, so they are treated with respect.

This is a great opportunity for steady employment, putting your years of practical experience to use keeping this small private barn running smoothly and the horses cared for.

Job Requirements
Must be extremely reliable and attentive to detail. Must take pride in keeping a barn looking neat and beautiful, & horses well cared for. Must be level-headed in emergencies and confident loading/unloading and hauling horses.
