About The Facility
Nestled among 165-acres of woodland near Union, Missouri, the Humane Society of Missouri’s Longmeadow Rescue Ranch is haven for hundreds of abused and neglected horses, cows, goats, pigs, ducks and other farm animals. The ranch is one of the most comprehensive horse and farm animal care and rehabilitation centers in the country. In addition to animal care, ranch staff provide hands-on humane education experiences for both children and adults. Union is just outside of the St. Louis area, which has a variety of cultural activities, excellent school districts, and low cost of living.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Ranch Manager to assist our Ranch Director in the daily operations of the ranch, including taking care of animals, supervision/instruction of employees and volunteers, and
maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
You will need a valid Class E driver’s license (or the ability to obtain one), a four year degree, and 5 years of management experience in an animal care/ranch environment. Excellent communication, customer service, and computer skills are also a must. Position requires a flexible schedule and includes weekend work.
