About The Facility
Field of Dreams Equi-Sport Ctr is a private dressage training facility from YH - GP with the focus on Quality not Quantity. FOD has 2 FEI Trainers who have extensive experience starting horses and training/competing through GP. FOD is located at the base of the Pocono Mountains in the beautiful Lehigh Valley, PA. We are enough in the country for privacy but still close enough to civilization and 15 minutes away from Lehigh Valley International Airport
Job Description
FOD is seeking an experienced "show barn/training facility" individual to join its current team. Work schedule is 5 days a week/ 8-hours a day with shared nights of Night Check Responsibility with other staff member(2). Duties Included by not limited to: (working with an additional staff member)
• AM/PM Feeding of 12 horses & turnout – also field horses (weanlings & yearling)
• Cleaning Stalls
• Barn Housekeeping Daily
• Assisting In-House Trainer when needed handling young horses
• Grooming when needed at farm & Grooming at away shows
• Maintaining Outside Pastures of Manure Removal, Water Trough Cleaning, etc.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate needs to have experience & confidence handling horses (both young horses as well as 17+H horses) as well as Show Barn/Training Barn experience, basic skills to recognize horse fatigue signs (colic, lameness, stress, etc.), ability to work well with others as well as alone, ambitious, self-motived and good communication skills.
Having dressage experience is a plus but not required. This position will have the opportunity at times to be able to exercise some horses depending on candidate’s experience level.

Description of Housing Provided
Housing is preferred for a single person but will consider other option to the right candidate. Housing offered is either a 1BR; 1.5 Bath, with spacious Kitchen, Living Room, Laundry newly remodeled bank barn with nice outside deck or a 2BR; 2 Bath remodeled Farmhouse with large deck. Housing will be charged for a small nominal fee plus utilities. I prefer to pay wages higher and charge a small rent rather than pay less and provide free housing
