Assistant barn manager with experience with high end performance horses. Job includes typical barn duties of cleaning, grounds maintenance and horse management as well as helping to oversee clients, employees and facility. Grooming and some show travel. There may be limited riding opportunities for the right, experienced individual but this is primarily a management and care position. We are well staffed and keep a reasonable work schedule for this position of 5-5.5 days/week. Must be reliable, professional and able to work well with others. Housing may be available. This position is only available as my long term manager's husband is being transferred.
Experience with high end sport horses. Basic equine and human first aid. Own transportation, able to lift at least 50#, punctuality, familiarity with farm equipment, basic computer skills. Ability to manage and schedule others in a positive and professional manner. Strong work ethic and positive attitude a must. Owner is involved with management of facility and horses and has many years of experience as barn help, competitor and barn owner.
