About The Facility
The farm is 1,000 acre private farm in Goshen KY home to bison, cattle, pigs, chickens and horses. A quaint 8 stall barn is home to 3 Kentucky Walking Horses.
Job Description
The Barn Manager will be responsible for the care, training and health of 3 trail riding horses. Daily duties include feeding, turn out, stall cleaning, and barn upkeep as well as grooming, riding and training horses.
Job Requirements
- Create and monitor hay/grain/ turnout program: lift 50 lbs
- Create and maintain veterinary & farrier program: working knowledge of inoculation,s deworming and farrier schedules
- Create and develop riding & training program: strong riding abilities especially in trail riding setting, must be comfortable leading trail rides
- Lead trail rides with owners and guests: personable to leading and assisting novice riders through the farm
- Hourly Pay, overtime @ 40 hours
- 6 days a week
