About The Facility
Little Longears Miniature Donkey Rescue has just relocated to our brand new facility on 99 acres in New Oxford, PA. There are 4 large barns, one of which has a center aisle barn, wash rack, heated and air conditioned feed room, treatment stall, tack room, visitor center, laundry room, and much more. All barns have adjoining paddocks and pastures for the different groups of donkeys. This property has everything we could ever need for tending to the countless rescue donkeys that come our way.

Job would include, but not be limited to: feeding, cleaning stalls, paddocks, and barn areas, grooming, handling, general training of the donkeys, providing veterinary care as needed, working with volunteers and visitors to the rescue.
Job Requirements
Looking for an experienced horseman, someone with a very gentle, kind, and patient hand. Someone who is experienced working with and training green horses and who feels confident learning how to work with frightened donkeys. Prefer someone who has been on the show circuit, knows how to clean, maintain and manage a barn properly, and who might need a break from the stress of the competition environment. Applicant should not need instruction on proper grooming or stall cleaning techniques, and should pay great attention to detail. This is a non-profit rescue, dealing with the public and volunteers is a vital part of the job, so a pleasant personality is important.
