About The Facility
Amado Equine is situated on a 91 acre property located in southern Arizona. It is mainly irrigated by a center pivot (64 acres) and 10 acres are irrigated by flood irrigation. We have 2 riding arenas that offer plenty of space for riders, there is a gallop track around the outside of one of the arenas and a hacking and jumping area with hills beside the other arena. The property is fenced so riders can hack around the perimiter. The main board offering is out on pasture 24/7. There are limited dry lots for horses. We run 3 or more schooling shows per year and would like to start offering single day recognized shows (dressage).
Job Description
We are a small business and the successful applicant would be able to work any part of the ranch (with training). From caring for livestock (horses and cattle), feeding, cleaning stalls, grooming, riding, teaching lessons, and general maintenance and upkeep around the ranch.

We are looking to find dedicated individual that has been in the horse industry long enough to know the basics but it still trainable for a permanent long term, year-round position. You should know feeding & general horse care and be able to adapt to new situations and procedures. You will need to be ablet to interact with clients as well as work around horses and cattle with ease.

Preferred minimum riding qualifications: Dressage to 2nd Level or higher, Jumping to 1m or higher, or eventing through Training Level. Must be self-starter and have good attention to detail.

General ranch maintenance: Building and repairing fence, irrigation of pastures, landscaping, check water and fence lines, knowledge of electric fence helpful

Operating equipment: tractors, irrigation equipment; Machinery maintenance use and repair.
