About The Facility
As a private Fox Hunting/Eventing barn with an expanding program, we are in need of a responsible, hard working, friendly, groom. Riding experience is required, but Hunting experience is highly preferred as there is a opportunity to hunt for the right person!

We are based in Newtown Sq, PA, but re-locate during the winter months, therefore, traveling is a MUST. Auguust-December we travel to Middleburg, VA almost weekly (depending on weather) for hunting. January-March we relocate to Middleburg, VA (housing provided during that time). In addition, April-December we travel to local Events for the private owner.

When in PA, our schedule is a 5 day work. When in VA (Jan-Mar) the schedule changes to a 6 day work week with an additional paid week off.
Job Description
Duties include but not limited to daily barn chores (feeding, haying/watering, mucking stalls, t/o, etc), tacking/untacking for private owner and riders, cleaning tack, picking fields, wrapping/sweating legs, cleaning/tiding the barn, help packing/unpacking for trips, show/Hunt prep (bathing, braiding, mane pulling, clipping/trimming/blending, studding, etc). Riding duties include: trot/canter sets, ponying on sets, and for the right person, schooling over fences and potential for hunting with owner.
Job Requirements
MUST be comfortable with: Grooming for hunts and Eventing competitions for private owner - IV and IM shots - Basic equine first aid - Trailer driving (3 horse and 4 horse head to head). Clipping/trimming/blending, studding, braiding, mane pulling, wrapping/sweating legs.
