Bryn Mawr Riding Camp's facilities include a beautiful 50 acre farm that houses 30 horses, as well as a 12 stall barn on our main campus. Our accommodations include 40 stalls total, 5 outdoor riding arenas, an indoor arena, acres of trails, a cross country course, and several paddocks for turnout. Bryn Mawr Riding Camp is an all-girls sleepaway camp located in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
The Staff Liaison will have responsibilities in all aspects of the riding program. This includes helping to train and oversee 13 staff members, as well as assist them in developing and implementing lesson plans for both riding and on the ground topics. They will also help to create and execute special events and activities for the riding campers. The staff liaison will be expected to reinforce safety guidelines and procedures throughout the summer to ensure well-being of campers, staff, and horses. They will also be responsible for keeping careful records of each rider’s progress throughout their time at camp, and assist in creating daily and weekly schedules for staff and campers. They will teach riding lessons on a daily basis, and do night check 1-2 days per week.
Must be currently enrolled in college or a college graduate. Must have 5+ years of horse experience and strong knowledge of horse care. Must have exceptional organizational skills. Preferably 21+, must be female. Must have valid drivers license. Must be available June 3rd-August 14th.
Leadership members will utilize and improve their skills in staff and stable management, as well as have an opportunity to ride and take lessons while employed.
Salary as well as housing, meals, and travel stipend are provided.
Leadership members will live in cabins with other members of camp leadership.
