About The Facility
Camp Greystone is a Christian Camp for girls located in the mountains of North Carolina that offers a variety of activities including horseback riding. It is home to approximately 1800 campers every summer with camp sessions 1, 3, 5, and 2 weeks in length. The Riding Program at Camp Greystone focuses on the Hunter/Jumper discipline and is a very big part of camp. We also offer a complete Western Trail Riding program. Our facilities include a 42 stall Main Barn, 10 stall Western Trail Ride Barn, an Overnight Barn on Green River, spacious turnout, 3 riding rings, beautiful trails, and an outside course. We have nearly 50 horses suited to all levels of instruction.
Job Description
Camp Greystone is seeking someone to head up our Western Trail Riding Program. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with horses and previous western experience leading groups of children on trails. Must be safety conscious and have the ability to instruct girls and ensure the safety of girls and staff while on horseback and around the barn. Duties will include but not limited to: Care and responsibility of 10 to 12 horses, care and maintenance of all equipment, managing staff of four, maintenance of trails, implementing trail program including all rides, barn activities, and food service for girls, and assisting with overall riding program when no trail rides are operating.

This is a full time, paid employment opportunity with meals and housing provided for a 4 month period. Applicants must be able to commit to the entire camp season May 1 - August 31st.

Job Requirements
Applicants must be a minimum of 21 years old.
First Aid/CPR certificate a plus.
Must have proven Western Trail Guide experience.
