Job Description
Seeking experienced head groom, caretaker, and handler of young horses. Candidate must have significant experience having already worked alongside of trainers specifically with young stock. Candidate will be responsible for managing young horse division care and ground handling of weanlings, yearlings and two year old horses.
Job Requirements
Must be interested in working with the impressive and spirited natured American Saddlebred breed. Individual should have experience as well as "horse sense" while dealing with young horses. Must understand the importance of: patience, establishment of respect, attention to safety measures when working with young horses. Team player, no ego, able to show up on time every day, set daily goals, and accomplish them with out being "pushed". Self starter is a must! Must have own vehicle.

This job is for an individual already experienced with the following:

-Care management (clipping, bathing, managing coats/blanketing, worming, IM shots, medication, knowledge of feed requirements with foal growth, etc.)
-Handling: must be experienced with Ground Handling, Leading, Lunging
-General stable tasks (turn in/out, stalls, feed, hay, water, etc.)
-Foal Watch: joining our foal watch team for foal cam shift coverage
-Should have experience working with any of the following breeds: American Saddlebreds, Dutch Harness Horse, Hackney Pony/Horse, Standardbred, Thoroughbred.
-Ability to work alongside of team in place, as well as supervise and manage employees timeliness and job performance in a professional manner.

This is not a head-trainer or assistant-trainer role or for somebody seeking growth in that capacity. The majority of our work is with young horses starting their ground work prior to being sent to training in KY between age 3-4, so this individual should truly enjoy and take pride in their work with young horses day to day.

This would be the perfect position for a former head trainer, former assistant trainer, or head show/track groom passionate about bringing along young stock. Content with being the "behind the scenes" foundation of horses careers without the demand of attending horse shows or performing sales. Will not be required to go to shows or train horses past their 2 year old year.

We are looking for a long term employee who is interested in making this position a long term career opportunity.
Full time job: competitive pay, vacation, benefits.
