About The Facility
Established in 1982, Chagrin Valley Farms is a well-established, 85-acre equestrian facility that offers riding lessons, boarding and hosts shows throughout the year. We specialize in all levels of hunter/jumper training, instruction and showing. We are a team of horse enthusiast dedicated to the care, appreciation and education of horses. Our goal is to teach people of all ages to communicate effectively with horses in a safe and fun environment.
Job Description
Chagrin Valley Farms is interviewing for members of our barn staff. Multiple positions are available: full-time and part-time, weekdays and weeknights and weekends. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in gaining hands-on experience in farm maintenance or the equine industry. In general, the job includes but is not limited to cleaning out horse stalls, keeping the barns cleaned, lawn mowing, and other barn related tasks. We require all members of our team to be highly customer-minded and seek those that are looking for a career opportunity in a fun and rewarding environment.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
• Stall cleaning and bedding
• Cleaning water buckets
• Observing horses for signs of injury/ illness and communicating any problems to the barn manager
• Cleaning the facility: cobwebbing, garbage removal, laundry, sweeping clubroom, etc.)
• Make sure barn is clean and organized at all times
• Special projects

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of one year of experience in a horse farm environment
• Reliable and flexible attendance is essential to providing optimum horse care
• Must work well with others and enjoy working with people and animals
• Applicants must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening to be employed with the company
• Must be able to lift 20lbs
