Harmony HIlls is a very active lesson and boarding program with up to 30 horses on 56 acres in southwest Virginia with a beautiful mountian views. We have a very active pony club and strong dressage and eventing emphasis.
Harmony Hills Equestrian Center, Inc is growing, and hasimmediate openings for dedicated working students looking for the opportunity to learn from two FEI Dressage trainers. Both our trainers are USDF bronze and silver medalists and have impressive resumes including competing at the US Dressage Finals, Dressage at Devon, winning Horse of the Year titles, and much more. We are not just a dressage barn, but teach jumping as well and show in Eventing too.
(Farm is 15 min from Blacksburg, VA near Virginia Tech)
**The ideal applicant must:**
• Be able to help barn staff in general care of horses and facility, tacking up horses for head trainer, and night checks.
• Have a positive attitude + able to work in a family oriented atmosphere.
• Be professional, have excellent time management, and be able to take direction
• Pony Club experience a plus but not required.
**This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual that includes: **
• Housing in a beautiful new fully furnished living quarters with AC, TV and internet provided.
• $200 week stipend.
• At least two lessons a week with our FEI head trainer in dressage and/or jumping.
• Opportunities to work with and train some greener horses if appropriate.
• Possible additional income if able to teach beginner mounted lessons.
