About The Facility
Bryn Mawr Riding Camp's facilities include a beautiful 50 acre farm that houses 30 horses, as well as a 12 stall barn on our main campus. Our accommodations include 40 stalls, 5 outdoor riding arenas, an indoor arena, acres of trails, a cross country course, and several paddocks for turnout. Bryn Mawr Riding Camp is an all-girls sleepaway camp located in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Job Description
Responsibilities of staff members include all aspects of barn care for our 40 horses, instruction of hunt seat riding lessons (previous experience not required), schooling horses regularly, planning camper activities, and acting as a counselor for campers. Staff members receive two evenings off as well as one full day off per week.
Staff must be available from June 5th through August 14th.
Job Requirements
Bryn Mawr is looking for individuals with experience in english riding, specifically with backgrounds in hunters, jumpers, equitation, and/or eventing. Candidates should be able to groom, tack, and wrap unsupervised, and knowledge of basic first aid is a plus. Staff members must be female, and must be currently enrolled in college or be college graduates.
On the job training is provided- Staff members will learn how to instruct safe, creative, and informative riding lessons. Staff members will gain hands on experience in horse care, equine first aid, and stable management on a daily basis. Staff also receive riding instruction and have the opportunity to ride and work with horses from the University of Findlay as well as Centenary University. Can be used as a paid internship for college requirements. Salary as well as travel stipend are provided. CAN BE USED AS INTERNSHIP CREDIT!
